Friday was an eventful night for sure.

A few of my co-workers and I had a little gathering at a place called The Gold Room, located in Echo Park.

$4 specials composed of a shot of tequila and beer?
Plus unlimited free tacos all night?
Psh, for sure count me in.

Lemonade!

Oh my, I’m three days behind on my (personal) posting schedule! No, no, I’m not going to go into my lazy blogger mode–at least, not yet. ;) A lot has been going on the past three days…so much to talk about! So many pictures to upload! Sadly, there’s so little time! So…I’m just going to tell you guys about my night last night.

Lemonade, the place to be!

Last night was the return of Lemonade, one of Little Tokyo’s many music/bar events (it goes down every second and fourth Thursday of the month I think…I always get confused on this). It used to be hosted at the Far East Bar, but due to residential complaints and an inability to throw live performances at that location, it’s been moved to a place called Senor Fish on 1st and Alameda.

To be really honest, I really liked Far East Bar, and the new move was kind of…suffocating. It was way too packed, with way too many shoulders touching, which ultimately leads to the occasional perverted asshole sneaking a feel on a girl’s ass.

Anyway.

We all met up at my place and started pre-gaming with, yes, wine–let me tell you that I am not going to do that again. Ever. Of course, yes I know, wine is a drink you have to take your time with. And yes, I know, you’re not supposed to chug that shit down like it’s water on a hot summer’s day. I know. But, I was on a time limit and seriously wanted to get (at least) buzzed before I got to the place so…I drank it like juice. Boooooooooooooy, was I stuuuuuuuuuuuupid last night, haha!

This wasn’t the first time I’ve pre-gamed with wine before and I’ve noticed that wine makes me a baaaaaaad girl. It’s like it knows how to switch on my “fuck-it-I’m-young-so-I’ll-fuck-shit-up” side of me and, being intoxicated on top of that, I get extra ballsy. As Fred of SPKEZ said, the highlight reel is as follows:

•20 dollar tip for the customer. Fucka bartender. Hahaa

• red hands, legs, and shoulders. But for real, who plays with used tampons?

• transforming into a fuckin city road worker at 2am and blocking the entire street with cones.

Dude, let me explaiiin.

First off, when we get there I end up losing my damn plug at the bar while trying to take off the hoops I put through them. In my drunken state I was trying to find that shit on the floor, lol. Not to mention the fact that I’m spillin’ drinks while walking back and forth (go outside, way too many people, stay inside, start sweating like a pig)… Anyway, while Jelynn was trying to get the bartender’s attention for a drink, she notices a $20 tip. Of course, I pocketed that shit. Horrible, I know. I feel bad (but not really) because I know how it is to depend of tips. Then I run into a friend (who was celebrating his birthday) and make him dare me to drink a packet of Tapatio ( I was drunk, I know). Spill more drinks, walk back and forth a little more, then Jelynn finds a cupcake…I grabbed that shit and caked her arms, then caked the birthday boy (who I’m not even close to, by the way), then caked some random guy I ran into…which led to my legs and hands being stained with a fluorescent pink tint (toxic ass icing). Yeah.

Then when we get home I get the orange construction cones and block off my whole street.

Stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupid, I’m telling you!

Overall, it was a dope ass night. Lemonade was clearly poppin’, and there were soo many pretty people. Ran into Intuition, Like from PacDiv, and just a bunch of other familiar faces. It’s kind of funny how you see the same people at these events once you’re immersed into the scene. There’s just one face I wish I didn’t see everywhere I went though…smdh.

Anywhoo. Gotta go run errands. You guys should totally check Lemonade out! You’d probably catch me there, but I won’t be acting as stupid as I did last night, lol.
